Megan Lewis uses these words as the foundation for her program. Whether she is working with people or horses, she believes that all can be conquered through positive reinforcement and constructive criticism. With the right mental attitude and hard work, anything really is possible. She works hard to build individuals up, giving them the right tools while also giving them a winning attitude. Everyone has their own reasons for barrel racing and his/her own goals for each horse. She tries to work with what is in each individual's reality.
"For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." ~Jeremiah 29:11
All of the horses go through the same basic program, although each one's mental capability is taken into account. For instance, you cannot work a hot-blooded, speed demon through at the same pace as a laid back, lazy bones, even though they might have the same athletic ability. This said, they do need to learn all the same basic moves. All of Megan's horses are started as 2 year olds and moved through the program until they are ran in the futurities at age 5.
The Facilities & Services
The first facility that Megan works out of is located in Congress, AZ. She resides here from around October 1st to March 31st. She gives lessons and takes outside horses during these months. In addition she hires one girl a year to come ride for her in exchange for room and board for herself and a horse to spend the winter months in warmer Arizona.
The other facility is located in Twin Falls, ID. She occupies this one from around the 1st of April to the end of September. She uses these months to season young horses at circuit rodeos. Due to this reason, she still gives individual lessons, but does not have the time to take outside horses.
If you are interested in any of the above mentioned services, please contact Megan. Pricing varies due to the level and duration of needed assistance.
